Abstract
For the purposes of giving full effect to Council Regulation (EC) No 2100/94 and Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1768/95, these Regulations require a processor to supply twice a year the information required under Article 9 and Article 15 of the Commission Regulation in respect of every relevant processing service in respect of varieties he or she has supplied in the previous 6 month period.
The information shall be supplied on request of the Plant Variety Development Office (PVDO). Processors are also obliged to keep records relating to the processing of the varieties for a minimum of four years and to register with the PVDO. Similar duties are imposed on farmers for varieties planted. The PVDO may appoint Plant Variety Officers for purposes of these Regulations, which define functions and powers of these Officers. The Regulations also define offences and prescribe penalties.
