European Union (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Gas) Regulations 2012 (S.I. No. 403 of 2012).

These Regulations amend the Petroleum and Other Minerals Development Act 1960 for purposes of implementing provisions of Directive 2011/92/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on the assessment of the effects of certain public and private projects on the environment. They add a new section 13(b) on environment impact assessment as part of a plan submitted to the Minister under the terms of a lease under section 13 of the Act seeking his or her approval for working of petroleum. In carrying out his or her consideration and his or her environmental impact assessment, the Minister shall have regard to the matters specified in these Regulations.
