Abstract
These Regulations give effect to Community legislation regarding health and nutritional claims made in respect of food placed on the market in general and certain health claims made on foods and referring to the reduction of disease risk and to children s development and health. They appoint the Food Safety Authority of Ireland as the appropriate authority for purpose as the national competent authority for the purposes of EC Regulation 1924/2006 and for the purposes of these Regulations, defines offences, and provides with respect to inspections and enforcement.
