European Union (Plant Health) Regulations 2020 (S.I. No. 459/2020).

These Regulations are providing for more proactive and effective measures to protect plants, plant products, and forests from destructive pests and diseases. In fact, these Regulations are pointing out the immediate measures to be taken by professional operators and measures to be taken by persons other than professional operators in case of plant pests.
Besides, these Regulations are establishing an Action plan and specific measures to protect against the pest, giving also importance to the limitation of movement, with a mandatory requirement of authorization and approvals before moving.
The last part of these Regulations is dedicated to the offences and penalties.
