Abstract
These Regulations provide for a system of on-the-spot fines for offences in inland fisheries. The form of notice of an on-the-spot fine is set out in the Schedule to the Regulations. The fines shall be administered by the regional fisheries boards.
The Regulations stipulate that section 25 of the Fisheries (Amendment) Act 1999 applies to offences under section 24(6) of that Act in respect of a contravention of Regulation 3, 4, 15, 16, 17, 20, 21, 22(2), 22(3), 22(4), 22(5), 22(6), 22(7) or 22(8) of the Wild Salmon and Sea Trout Tagging Scheme Regulations 2008 and that Bye-laws mentioned in Part 1 of Schedule 1 these Regulations are prescribed for the purposes of section 2(1)(b) and (c) of the Fisheries (Amendment) Act 2000.
