Abstract
The Roadmap aims to embed the agri-food sector within a Circular, Regenerative Bioeconomy, focusing on creating a climate-smart and environmentally sustainable food system. The publication highlights the need for education and awareness initiatives to drive behavioural change across the agri-food supply chain, which is essential for achieving food waste reduction targets. Collaborative actions are proposed to ensure accurate measurement of food waste throughout the supply chain, and the importance of donating surplus food is recognized. The document stresses that food is a valuable resource, and reducing waste supports the viability and resilience of primary producers and processors. The overarching goal is to foster a sustainable agri-food sector that respects the hard work of food producers while contributing to environmental sustainability. The text consists of 15 Parts and 3 Appendixes.
