Abstract
This Act provides for the discipline of ownership of land, this include prohibition of fee farm grants, abolition of the fee tail, prohibition of leases for lives, among others. Part 3 regulates future interests in land and Part 4 and 5 respectively trust of land and variation of trust. Part 7 is on co-ownership. Part 9 is on contracts and conveyances. Part 10 mortgages.

An Act to provide for the reform and modernisation of land law and conveyancing, to repeal enactments that are obsolete, unnecessary or of no benefit in modern circumstances, to provide for the variation of trusts, to modernise the law relating to lis pendens, to amend the Registration of Deeds and Title Acts 1964 and 2006 and certain other enactments and for related matters.
Entry into force notes
This Act shall come into operation on such day or days as the Minister may appoint by Order or Orders either generally or with reference to any particular purpose or provision and different days may be so appointed for different purposes and different provisions.

All Acts up to and including the Land and Conveyancing Law Reform Act 2021 (35/2021), enacted 26 November 2021, and all statutory instruments up to and including the Social Welfare (Temporary Provisions) Regulations 2021 (S.I. No. 660 of 2021), made 30 November 2021, were considered in the preparation of this Revised Act.Schedule 1 to this Act lists legislation amended by this Act, whereas Schedule 2 lists repealed legislation.
