S.I. No. 82 of 2001 Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (Foot-and-Mouth Disease) (Import Restrictions) Order, 2001 (S.I. No. 82 of 2001).

This Order implements the provisions of Commission Decisions 2001/172/EC and 2001/190/EEC concerning certain protection measures with regard to foot and mouth disease in the United Kingdom. The Order places restrictions on the importation of live animals of the bovine, ovine, caprine or porcine species or other biungulate from the United Kingdom or through any place in United Kingdom and on importation of fresh or frozen meat of animals from the United Kingdom or through any place in the United Kingdom. Restrictions are also placed on the importation of meat products, milk and milk products, semen, ova or embryos, and hides and skins.
