Abstract
This Document gives definitions and makes provisions for the institution of Fruit Funds in Israel. Section 1 gives definitions. Fruits are defined as those listed in Annex One to the Fruit Board Law (Production and Marketing), 1973. Section 2 announces the institution of special funds regarding the species listed in this section and a General fund. Section 3 establishes that fund incomes shall be from Levy amounts or from government participations, in case a fund is shared with government. Section 4 regards the direction of the funds and directional procedures. The special funds and the general fund shall be handled by the executive committee of the Fruit Board. Section 5 gives powers to the Fruit Board to set other funds for species not listed in section 2. Section 6 establishes funds targets: handling fruit surplus, fruit development, publicity and propaganda, research, packaging improvement, fruit improvement, financial coverage for new equipment and office expenses. Sections 7 and 8 provide financial fund procedures in case of financial difficulty regarding the Fruit Board. Section 9 gives name to this document.
