Israel Milk Economy Planning Law, 1992.

This Law, composed of eight sections, gives definitions and establishes conditions for the planning of the Milk Economy in Israel. Section 1 gives definitions. Section 2 provides for rules regarding the commercial marketing of milk products in Israel. Any milk product in Israel shall be of local milk production. The Minister of Industry and Commerce, after consulting the Minister of Agriculture, may authorize the importation of milk products to Israel according to any International agreement to which Israel is part. Section 3 provides for annual production limits. The Minister of Agriculture shall set the production limits according to maximum predicted consumption. Section 4 regulates the selling of milk and sharing of milk production quotas that shall be regulated according to the annual production limit. Section 5 sets powers to the Minister of Agriculture to execute and to set regulations for this Law. Section 6 provides for penalties regarding section 2. Section 7 regards milk products that have been imported not according to section 2, in that case, products shall be defined as Smuggled Goods and shall be object to Custom laws. Section 8 gives Entry into Force date.
