Nature Calamity Compensation Regulations (Setting Entitlements for Compensations and their Amount, 1991.

This Regulation, of 19 sections, gives definitions and makes provisions for the entitlement to receive compensations related to a Nature Calamity. Section (1) gives definitions. Section (2) makes provisions for the appointing of a Compensation Entitlement Council for Nature Calamities. Section (3) provides notification procedures. Section (4) establishes that the entitlement for compensation shall be authorized for damage caused to properties belonging to a person, on the lands that are legally held or cultivated by him. Section (5) sets conditions for damage classification. Two classes are set for properties and for damage. Section (6) sets compensation grades. Section (7) regards special compensation conditions. Section (8) establishes that during the calamity period, in order to receive compensation, the property must be insured. Sections (9) and (10) regards compensations requests procedures. Section (11) gives powers to the council to demand information or data regarding the property. Sections (13) and(14) regard preliminary compensation procedures. An on-sight damage inspection, by an appraiser, shall be operated after a compensation request has been delivered. And if approved by the council, an advance payment may be authorized. Sections (15)-(17) provide with final valuation procedures and compensation payment. Section (18) provides with appeals procedures. Section (19) regards county court appeals procedures.
