Plant Protection Regulation ( Prevention of Spherical-Floury Aphid spreading in Citrus trees)-1986

This Regulation gives definitions and makes provisions for the prevention of Spherical-Floury Aphid spreading in citrus trees. The definitions section delimit the quarantined area in which are situated the infected citrus trees. Citrus trees and any part of the tree, fruit included, are defined as Hosts. A person shall not pick or move hosts within the quarantined area, and will not take out hosts from within the quarantined area unless he obtained a permit from the director of the Plant Protection Department. The holder of an orchard situated within the quarantined area will disinfect the trees in the way prescribed by the director. The director will operate an inspection of the trees within 30 days from disinfection date and will authorize one fruit-picking season if trees have been found clean from living aphids. The fruit-picking season will commence 30 days after disinfection date and authorization will be revoked in any time, if living aphids are to be found in hosts.
