Regulations concerning the Sanitary Quality of Drinking Water.

These Regulations determine the microbiological conditions drinking water must satisfy in order to be considered fit for drinking. Water suppliers, whose water is declared unfit after examination, must inform the Health Authority, perform a sanitary survey, and carry out instructions of the Health Authority in order to eliminate the cause of the outlying concentration. The remainder of the regulations deal with the following aspects: concentration of fluorides in water, water unfit because of danger to public health, water disinfection, drinking water sources, flushing and disinfection of water systems, water standing in reservoirs, testing methods, drinking water from dual-purpose recharge wells. A series of appendices list maximum allowable concentrations of toxic substances, fluoride concentrations, water characteristics, frequency of sampling according to population, etc.
