Vegetable Production and Marketing Board Rules (Personal Allotment Setting Principles)-1993

This Document, of 10 Sections, makes provisions and establishes conditions for the setting of personal vegetable allotments for farmers in Israel. Section (1) gives definitions. Section (2) and (3) provide for Renewable Quota entitlement procedures. The allotment committee shall set quotas to the farmers that had requested a growing quota after that a general quota has been decided. Farmers shall be entitled to deserve a quota if: a) they have the equipment and capability to produce the quota; b) they hold a sufficient water allocation; c) they are in possession of soil in which the cultivation shall take place. Section (4) to (7) provide for personal quotas passing procedures. A personal quota can not be passed to another or shared with another unless authorized by the Allotment Committee. A farmer holding a personal quota can present a written request for the irrevocable passing of his quota to another. A temporary passing of a quota is possible according to section (6). Section (8) regards quotas surplus. Section (9) provides for the respect of the directives given with the quota. Section (10) gives general information.
