Veterinarian Doctor’s Regulations (Specialist Title Approval and Exams), 1994.

This Regulation, composed of seven Parts, 38 Sections and one Annex, gives definitions and establishes conditions for the approval of veterinarian specialist title in Israel and exam procedures. Part 1 gives definitions. The list of the Specialisation Disciplines and Titles is reported in the Annex. Part 2 deals with request for specialist’s title approval procedures. Part 3 regards specialising periods and exemptions. Part 4 gives definitions and establishes conditions regarding the recognition of the specialising institute. The recognition period of a specialising institute shall be of Five years. Part 5 regards exams procedures. The Superior Specialising Committee shall appoint other two specialising committees: a) for Laboratory disciplines; b) for clinic disciplines. (A list of the relative disciplines is reported in section 20). For each specialising discipline shall be appointed an exams committee. The exams committees shall set and supervise the specialisation exams. Exam results are: Passes, Failed and Excellent. Part 6 deals with the Title Approval Decision procedures. Part 7 provides with general rules. The using of a specialist title is prohibited unless that person has obtained its approval according to this regulation.
