The Andhra Pradesh (50 Percent Reservation to Women in Works Contracts and Service Contracts given on Nomination) Act No. 26 of 2019.

This Act establishes the reservation for women in Works Contracts and Service Contracts given on Nomination for their economic upliftment. In particular, there shall be 50 Percent Reservation to women in all Works Contracts and Service Contracts, given on nomination basis (Nomination Works) by all the Engineering Departments and the Administrative Departments, working under Government of Andhra Pradesh: Provided that for the removal of doubts, it is further clarified that the present reservation is as a measure of horizontal reservation across all communities and this Act is to be read in conjunction with Reservation in nominated Works Contracts and Service Contracts for economic Upliftment for BCs, SCs, STs and Minorities.
