Abstract
This Act amends the Andhra Pradesh (Agricultural Produce and Livestock) Markets Act, 1966.
Amendments shall include: insertion of new definitions in section 2; insertion of a new sub-section and of new clauses in section 4 on the constitution of market committees; minor word changes in section 5; addition of a new section 5A on the constitution of market committees for special markets; minor word changes to sections 6, 6A, and 6B; insertion of a new sub-section in section 7 on the granting of licences for establishing markets in notified areas; addition of new sections 7A and 7B dealing with national integrated produce market and powers to remove difficulties; and the addition of a new section 11A on contract farming.
