Andhra Pradesh (Agricultural Produce and Livestock) Markets (Amendments) Act, 2015

This Act amends the Andhra Pradesh (Agricultural Produce and Livestock) Markets Act of 1966. It seeks to add certain missing definitions and provides more powers to the market committee. It also lays down provisions on warehouses and cold storage of agricultural produce and livestock, establishes provisions on the licensing of traders, commission agents, processors, direct purchase centres, private markets, etc. and sets down laws on contract farming including the registration of contract farming agreements. Furthermore, this Amendment includes provisions on granting of incentives for attracting private investment into designated marketing related infrastructure.
