Andhra Pradesh Domestic, Irrigation and Industrial Water Grid Pipelines (Acquisition of Right of User in Land) Act, 2018 (No. 19 of 2018).

This Act concerns the acquisition of rights in land by the State Government of Andhra Pradesh for purposes of laying pipelines for the transportation of water from one area to another necessary in the public interest. Objections against the laying of pipelines shall be made to the competent authority. In case of no abjection or an objection not allowed by the competent authority, a declaration shall be made by the Government declaring that the right of user in the land for laying the pipelines shall be acquired. The owner or occupier of the land with respect to which a declaration has been made shall be entitled to use the land for the purpose for which such land was put to use immediately before the date of acquisition but he o she may not (i) construct any building or any other structure; (ii) construct or excavate any tank, well, reservoir or dam; (iii) plant any tree on that land. Compensation shall be paid for damage or loss sustained by the laying of pipelines.
