Assam Agricultural Land (Regulation of Reclassification and Transfer for NonAgricultural Purpose) Act, 2015.

This Act is enacted to regulate the reclassification and the transfer of agricultural lands for intended non-agricultural purpose in the state of Assam and for matters connected.
No person shall use or transfer agricultural land for intended non-agricultural purposes without reclassification and permission in the manner as mentioned in Section 3. The Act further makes provisions, inter alia, for: nature of land capable of reclassification, procedure for land reclassification and reclassificationcum- transfer, authority competent to reclassify and reclassify cum transfer, penalties.
