Abstract
This Act is enacted to provide for the prevention of the spread of contagiour disease among cattle in the Province of Assam.
The Provincial Government may declare any local area in which any cattle is affected by or exposed to any contagious disease specified in such notification to be an infected area. The Provincial Government may notify any local area as a compulsory inoculation area in respect of Rinderpest or any other contagious disease specified in the Schedule. The Act further makes provisions for: certificate of the inoculation, quarantine stations, report of contagious disease, prohibition of movment of ammals into or out of infected areas, etc.
