Assam Disaster Management Rules 2010.

These Rules are enacted in accordance with the Disaster Management Act, 2005 (Central Act No. 53 of 2005).
The State Disaster Management Authority shall consist of the Chief Minister, Assam as the Chairperson and such other members as may be notified by the State Government. The State Authority may constitute an Advisory Committee, consisting of experts in the field of disaster management to make recommendations on different aspects of disaster management. Every office of the Government of India and of the State Government at the district level and of the local authorities shall prepare a disaster management plan.
