Assam Grant of Fishery Subsidy to private fish farmers and Piscicultural Society Rules, 1971 (Assam Rule XV of 1971)

Subsidies shall be granted to fish farmers involved in aquaculture, to support the production and relative output: the subsidy shall be paid cash or in stock breeds to replenish the stocking tanks at particular conditions (i.e. 3000 units per water acre) and the fish stock supplied shall be mainly carp, both major and common.
