Abstract
This Act is enacted to prohibit the activity of land grabbing in the State of Assrun.
No person shall commit or cause to be committed land grabbing. Land grabbing in any form is declared unlawful and any act connected with or arising out of land grabbing shall be a cognizable offence under the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 and punishable under this Act. The Act further makes provisions, inter alia, for: penalty for other offence in connection with land grabbing; Special Tribunals and their powers and functions; procedure to be followed by Special Tribunal; constitution of the Special Court.
