Abstract
This Act amends the Assam Municipal Act, 1956 (principal Act). In the principal Act, sub-section (1) of section 4 is amended by adding a new clause (e) and proviso. Section 50 is also amended. Section 53 relating to creation of new services is substituted. Section 335 of the principal Act is omitted.
