Assam Municipal (Amendment) Act, 2024 (Assam Act No. VI of 2024).

This Act amends the Assam Municipal Act, 1956 (principal Act). Sub-section (2) of section 46 is amended and sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 50 are substituted. Section 51 relating to service condition of employees, section 52 relating to appointment of Executive Officer and section 53 dealing with state municipal services are all substituted. Section 61 is substituted and a new section 61A is inserted thereafter. Sections 64 and 67A are substituted and sections 67B to 67H are amended. Sections 187 and 252 are also amended.
