Abstract
These Rules are enacted in accordance with the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (Act 30 of 2013).
The Social Impact Assessment unit engaged in the Social Impact Assessment study shall compile a list of affected families, the names and details of the members of the families before the Collector or other authorities under the Act and the nature and extent of their land under acquisition for the purpose of seeking conscnt to the land acquisition. The Government shall for the purpose of conducting Social Impact Assessment study in accordance with the provisions of the Act invite applications from individuals and organizations with experience in conducting social impact assessment or related field-based assessments. The Rules further make provisions for: public hearing on Social Impact Assessment, publication of the decision of the Government, preliminary survey of land, heαring of objections, procedure for rehabilitation αnd resettlement, etc.
