Abstract
These Rules, consisting of 17 sections and one Schedule (laying down nine forms), implement the Goa Command Area Development Act, 1997. The Rules establish that the Board will supply water for the season generally from 1st November to 31st May as per the demand and as per availability of water. In case of failure of monsoon in the Kharif season, the demand of the Society will be considered by the Board, but the Board will not be obliged for its Sanction. Right is reserved to Sanction/or reject extra demand of water after taking into consideration the actual availability of water. Extra water can be sanctioned but if due to any reason, the Board is not able to supply such extra water then the Board shall not be responsible for any losses of the beneficiaries. Water will be supplied to the Society only for Irrigation purpose. If water is required for processing industry, then the Society shall give separate demand for the same and will have to obtain a separate sanction for the same from the Board.
