Abstract
This Act aims to make special provisions for securing the orderly establishment in industrial areas within the State of Goa and to assist in the organization to establish an Industrial Development Corporation. It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Corporation, entitled to perform the following activities: promote and assist in the rapid and orderly establishment, growth and development of industries in the State of Goa. In particular, it aims to: a) establish and manage industrial estates at places selected by the State Government; b) develop industrial areas selected by the State Government for the purpose and make them available for undertakings to establish themselves; undertake schemes or works either jointly or on agency basis with other corporate bodies or institutions, or with Government in furtherance or the purposes for which the Corporation is established.

An Act to make special provision for securing the orderly establishment in industrial areas and industrial estates of industries, in the State of Goa and to assist generally in the organization therefore, and for that purpose to establish an Industrial Development Corporation, and for purposes connected with the ' matters aforesaid.
Entry into force notes
This Act enters into force immediately, except clause 8 which shall be deemed to have come into force on 11 November 1965.
