Gujarat Animal Preservation (Amendment) Act, 2017 (Gujarat Act No. 18 of 2017).

This Act amends the Gujarat Animal Preservation Act, 1954 (principal Act). In section 6A of the principal Act, sub-section (4) relating to transport of certain bovine animals, is substituted. In Section 6B, sub-section (3) relating to transport of beef and beef products, is substituted. Sub-sections (2) and (4) of section 8 relating to penalties for offences is amended. Section 9 of the principal Act is amended which makes all offences cognizable and non-bailable. New clauses (cd) and (ce) are added after clause (cc) in section 15 of the principal Act.
