Abstract
These Rules regulate the management and maintenance of captive elephants.
The Rules make provision for: the care, feeding and housing of elephants; the workload of elephants; norms and standards for their transportation; retirement of elephants; procedures to obtain permission to cut tusks; acts of cruelty to elephants, which are prohibited; etc.
