Abstract
This Act provides for the conservation of soil and moisture and for the protection of trees.
This Act shall not apply to land which is not a Private Forest.
The Act prohibits the cutting and removal of trees, especially in notified areas or in the Cardamom Hill Reserve, unless being in possession of a permit granted by an authorized officer appointed by the Government.
The Act also contains penalty provisions and provisions of miscellaneous nature.
