Abstract
This Act, consisting of eight Parts, establishes the requirements for land acquisition. It specifies costs, prices and other financial matters related to above mentioned land acquisition.

This Act shall enter into force on the first day of March 1894.
Notes
This Act extends to the whole of India except (the state of Jammu and Kashmir). Partly repealed by the Repealing and Amending Act, 1914 (10 of 1914), s.3 and Sch. II, and partly by the Repealing act, 1938 (1 of 1938) s.2 and Sch.
