Abstract
These model bye-laws with regard to the recycle and reuse of grey water in buildings are formulated in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 432 A of the Madhya Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, 1956 (No. 23 of 1956).
These bye-laws are applicable to all housing, commercial and any premises which fall in any one of the follwong categories: (i) Housing complex having 100 tenements or more; or (ii) Three star or higher category hotesls; or (iii) All commercial establishments, hostels having built up area of 2000 square metre or more.
The owner or occupier of premises shall only with a valid permission in accordance with the provisions of these bye-laws connect the waste water/sewerage to the municipal sewer. The owner or occupier of premises shall not cause damage to the sewerage system or to the flow of the sewage or to the treatment process thereof. The owner or the occupier of he premises shall not constitute a nuisance of foul gases or cause a public hazard or otherwise in compliance of these bye-laws. The waste generated by the recycling plant can be connected to Municipal Corporation sewer network if it is of the accepted quality.
