Abstract
This Act amends and repeals certain Acts in the state of Meghalaya. The Meghalaya Wild Animals and Birds Protection Act, 1971 (Act No. 9 of 1971) is repealed.
In the Meghalaya Minerals Cess Act 1988, section 9 relating to penalty for evading payment of tax, is substituted. In the Meghalaya Protection of Catchment Areas Act 1990, section 11 laying down the penalty for contravention of sections 9 and 10, is substituted.
