Meghalaya Land Survey and Records Preparation Act, 1980.

This Act provides for the Survey of land in the State and the Preparation of preliminary records thereof and for related matters. The State Government may direct a survey to be conducted for any classification of land or area, or boundaries of all lands and estates be demarcated and prepared. For any of the purposes of this Act, the State Government may appoint survey Officers, Revenue Enforcement Inspector and other Officers. The Survey Officer and the Revenue Enforcement Inspector shall be under the control and supervise of the Director. The Survey Officers shall be in-charge of the Survey and demarcation of boundaries and the Revenue Enforcement Inspectors shall be in-charge of the cost within their respective jurisdictions.
