Abstract
These Rules provide for the collection, separation, storage, transportation, processing and disposal of municipal solid wastes.
Municipal authorities shall apply for grant of authorization for setting up waste processing and disposal facilities to the Central Pollution Control Board. The Board shall monitor the compliance of standards regarding groundwater, ambient air and incineration standards. These Rules further make provisions on the management of municipal solid wastes, annual reports on the management of solid wastes and accident reporting.
