Abstract
These Rules amend the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000.
Amendments include: minor word changes to the opening portion of the Rules and to rule 3; the insertion of two new definitions in rule 2; the insertion of the words “and sound producing instruments” to the heading of rule 5 and the insertion of new provisions dealing with restrictions on the use of sound producing instruments; insertion of a new rule 5A on restrictions on the use of horns, sound emitting construction equipment and busting of fire crackers; and minor word changes to rule 7 and 8.
