Abstract
This Notification amends Notification of the Ministry of Environment and Forests declaring Matheran and surrounding region to be an Eco-sensitive Zone.
Amendments include: minor changes to paragraph 2 and 4 and to Annexure B and D; addition of new provisions to paragraph 3 defining activities which must be regulated in the Eco-sensitive Zone; and addition of new provisions to paragraph 6 on duties of the Monitoring Committee.
