Punjab Water Regulation and Development Authority (Conduct of Business) Regulations, 2021.

These Regulations are made by the Punjab Water Regulation and Development Authority (Authority) in exercise of the powers conferred by the Punjab Water Resources (Management and Regulation) Act, 2020 for conduct of its proceedings and discharge of its functions. It contains five chapters: I. General; II. General Rules Concerning the Proceedings Before the Authority; III. Investigation, Inquiry, Collection of Information, etc. IV. Non-Compliance of Directions and V. Other Matters.
Chapter I consists of the short title, commencement and definitions. It also provides for the Authority's offices, office hours and sittings, language of proceedings and the functions and duties of the Secretary. Chapter II makes provisions in respect of the proceedings before the Authority, process of initiating such proceedings, making petitions, admission thereof and other related aspects. Chapter III empowers the Authority to make such order as it thinks fit for collection of information, inquiry, investigation, entry and inspection. Chapter IV lays down the procedure for enquiry by the Authority relating to non-compliance or violation of any provision or requirement of the Act, Rules or Regulations framed thereunder or of directions or orders of the Authority. Chapter V provides for review of decisions or orders of the Authority, costs, implementation of regulations and enforcement of orders passed by the Authority.
