Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (Telangana Amendment) Act, 2016.

This Act is enacted by the Legislature of the State of Telangana to amend the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (Central Act 30 of 2013) in its application to the State of Telangana.
In the principal Act, after Chapter III, the new Chapter IIIA shall be inserted on the power of State Government to exempt certain projects. Such projects contain: (1) infrastructure including electrification and irrigation projects; (2) affordable housing and housing for the poor people; (3) infrastructure projects, including projects under public-private partnership where the ownership of the land continues to vest with the Government, etc. Other amendments include: insertion of new section 23A, new section 31A, new sub-section (2) in section 24, etc.
