S.O. 2339(E). - Amendment to Environmental Impact Assessment Notification 2006.

This notification amends the Environmental Impact Assessment Notification, 2006 (principal Notification). In the principal Notification, in paragraph 4, after sub-paragraph (iii), a new sub-paragraph (iii a) is added for Category B projects - projects notified by the Central Government on account of exigencies such as pandemics, natural disasters, or to promote environmentally friendly activities under National Programmes or Schemes or Missions. Item 5(g) of the Schedule to the Notification is amended. After item 5(g), a new item 5(ga) is added pertaining to grain based distilleries producing ethanol, solely to be used for Ethanol Blended Petrol Programme of the Government of India. The term grains include wheat, rice, maize, barley and sorghum.
