Abstract
These Rules are enacted in accordance with the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 (Central Act 6 of 1974).
The Rules consist of 11 Chaptewrs: Preliminary; Procedure for Transaction of Business of the Board; Terms and Conditions of Service of the Members of the Board and of the Committees of the Board; Powers and Duties of Chairman & Member Secretary and Creation of Posts; Temporary Association of Persons with the Board; Appointment of Consulting Engineer; Procedure Relating to Collection of Samples, Inquiry and Inspection; Furnishing of Information Relating to Accidents, etc. Report of Analysis; State Water -Laboratory; Budget, Accounts and Annual Report of the Board.
