Abstract
The purpose of these Rules is to carry out the provisions of the Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972.
The Rules provide for: matters related to terms of office of members of the Wildlife Advisory Board, resignation of members, allowances of members, etc.; forms to be used for the application for special game hunting licences and big or small game hunting licences; requirements and procedures for obtaining the licences; application for the reservation of shooting blocks; declaration of sanctuaries and National Parks; grant of permits to enter sanctuaries or national parks for investigation, scientific research, tourism of transaction of lawful business and other purposes; forms to apply for licences or certificates for the trade and commerce in wild animals, animal articles and trophies; licence fees; offences; etc.
