Decree regarding the identification and regulation of recreational and fishing boats.

The Iranian government has mandated the registration of unauthorized recreational and fishing boats with two-stroke engines, conditional on their owners ordering four-stroke engines through the Ministry of Industry’s system, within two years from date of submission of this Decree. Relevant ministries must issue operating permits for these registered boats. The Ministry of Industry is also responsible for developing a system to manage engine orders and scrapping of old two-stroke engines. Furthermore, the Ministry of Defense must annually produce 1,500 four-stroke engines. Any extension of this policy requires a full performance report by the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development (Maritime and Ports Organization). The text consists of 6 Articles.
