Abstract
The Ecotourism regulation outlines the designation of specific natural areas, including those managed by the Department of Environment—such as national parks, wildlife refuges, and protected areas—as well as regions under the supervision of the Natural Resources and Watershed Management Organization. It also encompasses national, local, and world heritage parks and sites within the country. The document aims to provide an overarching framework for the management, planning, and coordination of ecotourism development in these designated areas. Activities promoting and encouraging ecotourism are carried out under the supervision of the National Ecotourism Taskforce. The taskforce is responsible for developing executive policies, issuing specialized and regulatory directives for ecotourism projects, and ensuring compliance with the protection zones of registered natural, historical, and cultural heritage sites. It also supports stakeholders in the ecotourism sector, facilitates family participation, promotes smart systems and tools for managing ecotourism, and oversees the implementation of ecotourism initiatives. Additionally, the document incorporates supportive incentives provided by relevant ministries and defines clear provisions for the responsible operation of tourism-related activities. The text consists of 12 Articles.
