Abstract
This order aims to improve public health by reducing iron deficiency anemia through the fortification of wheat flour with iron and folic acid. The program is expected to cover approximately 30% of daily iron and folic acid needs. Wheat flour fortification is mandatory for all producers and applies to common bakery flour, except for temporary import/export cases. Flour mills must use micro-feeders for precise mixing, and packaging must state "Fortified with Iron and Folic Acid." The Food and Drug Organization oversees national implementation, while provincial supervision is managed by medical universities' Food and Drug Deputy Offices, with reports submitted to the National Fortification Committee.
