Law on Agricultural Labour.

The purpose of this Act, which consists of 40 articles, is to regulate obligations governing employment conditions in agricultural jobs. Thus, it provides comprehensive definitions for a number of basic relevant concepts, such as agricultural worker, agricultural job, agricultural employer, agricultural labour contract and wage. According to this Act, agricultural jobs include all jobs related to farming, gardening, animal husbandry, fishery, forestry and any related technical jobs.
The Act specifies minimum and maximum working hours, the authorized amount of paid and unpaid leave and necessity of equality of women and men in payment. This Act also prohibits employment of children under 12 as well as referring to difficult tasks carried out by working women. The primary rules governing agricultural labour contracts are also indicated in this Act.
Any dispute between employer and worker should be settled first by negotiation and reconciliation. Then, the dispute must be referred to the Dispute Resolution Council consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Justice as well as representatives of workers and employers. The decision of the Council is binding to both parties.
The Act also establishes the High Council of Agricultural Labour within the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs to deal with any relevant issues to the subject of agricultural labour.
