Abstract
The Law, which consists of 5 articles, aims to regulate provisions on management of the Country’s wetlands, including conservation of the existing wetlands and restoration of the damaged ones. The Law prohibits any activity which may pollute the wetlands environment. In order to preserve the natural environment of wetlands, the introduction of any non-native harmful animal or plant species to wetlands is forbidden. According to the Law, the Department of Environment is the main responsible authority for the management of wetlands. The Ministry of Energy is responsible to take any necessary measures to manage and guarantee the minimum required amount of water for preserving wetlands.
