Abstract
The law requires the Environment Protection Agency to draft regulations to protect wetlands and submit them to the Council of Ministers for approval within six months of the law’s issuance. It also tasks the Environment Protection Agency with determining the water requirement of the wetlands and the Ministry of Energy with securing those needs. In addition, the law prohibits the introduction into wetlands of harmful, nonnative plants and animals, and requires the Environment Protection Agency to draw up a list of such harmful species and revise it every two years.
